Subscription Terms
Last updated: 11 August 2026
These Subscription Terms explain how Finoha's paid plans work: what you are charged, when, how renewal happens, and how to stop it. They form part of the Terms of Service. Refunds are covered separately in the Refund Policy.
Your subscription is sold by Alvin AI Studio LLC, 447 Broadway, 2nd Floor, Suite 3007, New York, NY 10013, United States, acting as Merchant of Record. This is the company that charges you and appears on your statement.
1. Summary — the parts people actually need
- Finoha subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
- If you started on a free or discounted trial, it converts to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
- Cancelling stops the next charge. It does not end your current paid period — you keep access until the period you have already paid for runs out.
- You can cancel at any time, in a few clicks, with no phone call, no retention interview, and no reason required.
- The price you see at checkout is the price for your first billing period. Some offers renew at a different, clearly disclosed standard rate.
2. What a subscription gives you
A paid plan unlocks the paid parts of Finoha, which may include the full lesson curriculum, advanced tools, and a periodic allowance of credits for AI-generated explanations.
Your plan's exact contents, price, billing period, trial length, and any included credit allowance are the ones displayed on the checkout page at the moment you subscribe. That checkout screen is part of these Terms, and it prevails over any general description here or elsewhere on the site.
A subscription grants a licence to use the Service, not ownership of it. Coins and credits are virtual items with no cash value — see Section 7 of the Terms of Service.
3. Free trials and introductory offers
Where we offer a free or reduced-price trial:
- The trial length and the price that applies afterwards are disclosed at checkout before you pay.
- We may require valid payment details to start a trial.
- At the end of the trial your subscription starts automatically and your payment method is charged the then-current rate for your plan, unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Trials are for new customers, one per person and per household. We may refuse or withdraw a trial where it has been used before or where the offer is being abused.
- If you cancel during the trial, you keep trial access until the trial period ends and you are not charged.
4. Automatic renewal — your explicit acknowledgement
By subscribing, you agree that your subscription renews automatically for successive periods of the same length (for example, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually) at the then-current rate, and that your payment method will be charged at the start of each period, until you cancel.
Renewal is charged on or shortly before the renewal date. Where the law requires it, we will send you a reminder before a renewal, and we will notify you in advance of any renewal at a higher price than your previous period.
Your renewal date is shown in the app and in your purchase confirmation email.
5. Prices, taxes and currency
- Prices are shown at checkout in the currency stated there, and may vary by country, plan, device and promotion.
- Prices are stated inclusive or exclusive of VAT, sales tax and other applicable taxes as indicated at checkout. Where tax applies, it is calculated on the basis of your location and added or accounted for as shown.
- Your bank or card issuer may apply foreign-transaction or currency-conversion fees. Those are between you and them.
- We may change subscription prices. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before an increase takes effect at your next renewal, and you may cancel before then to avoid it. Continuing after the notice period means you accept the new price.
6. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
You authorise us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for your subscription, for each renewal, and for any applicable taxes. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.
If a payment fails, we may retry it over several days, and Stripe may automatically update expired card details through its card-updater service. If payment cannot be collected, we may suspend or cancel your access. You remain responsible for amounts properly due.
7. How to cancel
You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period.
In the app: open Settings → your plan and follow the cancellation option for your subscription.
By email: write to info@finoha.net from the email address on your account, asking to cancel. We will action it and confirm in writing. If your account has no email address attached, include the account ID shown under Settings so we can find you.
If you subscribed through an app store, cancel through that store's subscription settings — we cannot cancel a store-billed subscription for you.
Please cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. A cancellation submitted after a renewal has already been charged takes effect from the following period.
We will not make you complete a survey, call a phone number, or speak to a retention agent in order to cancel.
8. What happens after you cancel
- You keep full access for the remainder of the period you have paid for.
- At the end of that period, paid features lock and no further charge is made.
- Unused credits and unused portions of a billing period are not refunded except as set out in the Refund Policy or as required by law.
- Your account, progress and history remain, so you can resubscribe and pick up where you left off — subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to plans and to the Service
We may change the composition, features, and credit allowances of our plans, and may add or retire plans. Where a change materially reduces what your current paid plan provides, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect at your next renewal, and you may cancel before then.
We may also suspend or terminate a subscription in the circumstances described in Section 13 of the Terms of Service.
10. Nothing here is a financial product
A Finoha subscription buys access to educational content and a simulator. It is not an investment, not a financial product, and not a promise of any financial return. No real money is traded or invested through Finoha. See the Educational Disclaimer.
