Refund Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This Refund Policy explains when you can get your money back for a Finoha subscription, and how to ask. It forms part of the Terms of Service and should be read with the Subscription Terms.
Refunds are issued by Alvin AI Studio LLC, 447 Broadway, 2nd Floor, Suite 3007, New York, NY 10013, United States, as Merchant of Record.
1. The short version
- Cancelling is always free, always available, and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You do not need a refund to stop future charges — see How to cancel.
- Finoha is digital content delivered immediately. Outside the statutory rights described below, subscription fees are non-refundable, and part-used periods and unused credits are not refunded.
- We honour every refund right the law gives you, including the EU and UK 14-day right of withdrawal, and we apply those rights generously rather than technically.
- If something went wrong on our side, you get your money back. That is not a favour, and Section 4 says so plainly.
We would rather tell you this clearly up front than surprise you later.
2. Why the default is "no refund", stated honestly
Finoha is not a physical product you can send back. The moment your subscription starts, the lessons, the simulator, and your credit allowance are all available to you in full and cannot be un-delivered.
So instead of a broad money-back guarantee that we would then have to police with conditions, we do this: cancellation is genuinely one click, it is never hidden, we never make you talk to anyone to do it, and we tell you before you buy exactly what renews and when. You are never trapped in a subscription — you simply stop the next charge.
3. Your statutory rights — these always apply
Nothing in this Policy limits rights you have under the law where you live.
3.1 European Union and United Kingdom — 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have 14 days from entering into the contract to withdraw from it without giving a reason.
Important, and we flag it because it costs you a right: for digital content supplied immediately, the law lets you consent to supply starting straight away and acknowledge that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal once performance has begun. Finoha starts immediately, so at checkout you are asked for that express consent and acknowledgement.
In practice, we apply this as follows:
- If you have not meaningfully used the Service, we will refund you in full within the 14-day window, even where the waiver would technically permit us to decline.
- If you have used the Service substantially, we may decline, or refund on a pro-rata basis reflecting what was supplied before you withdrew.
To withdraw, email info@finoha.net within 14 days. You may use the model withdrawal form in Section 8, but any clear statement is enough. Refunds are made within 14 days of us being informed, using the same payment method.
3.2 Türkiye
Consumers in Türkiye have the rights set out in Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and the Distance Contracts Regulation. Note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to services performed instantly in electronic form where performance has begun with your consent; where it does apply, we honour it on the same basis as Section 3.1.
3.3 United States and elsewhere
Consumer protection and automatic-renewal laws in several U.S. states and other countries give additional rights, including in some cases a right to cancel a renewal for a refund within a short window. Where such a right applies to you, it applies, whatever this Policy says.
4. When we refund regardless of the above
We will refund you, and you should ask, if:
- You were charged after cancelling. Full refund, always.
- You were charged twice for the same period, or charged an amount that does not match what was shown at checkout.
- A renewal was charged without the disclosure or reminder the law required.
- The Service was materially broken or unavailable for a significant part of your billing period and we could not fix it.
- A paid feature did not do what we said it does, and we cannot resolve it.
- Your account or payment method was used fraudulently by someone else. Contact us and your card issuer.
- You were charged after a trial you had already cancelled.
In these situations you do not need to argue the point. Tell us what happened and we will make it right.
5. What is not refundable
Except where Sections 3 or 4 apply, or the law requires otherwise:
- part-used billing periods, including where you cancel mid-period;
- credits, whether unused, partially used, or expired — they are consumed on use and have no cash value;
- coins and other virtual items, which are demo money and were never purchased with real funds;
- periods during which you simply did not use the Service, or forgot the subscription was running;
- subscriptions terminated by us for a material breach of the Terms of Service, including fraud, abuse, or manipulation of the simulator, coins, credits or the leaderboard;
- any real-world trading loss. No real money is traded through Finoha, and losses you incur in real markets are not connected to your subscription fee. See the Educational Disclaimer.
- dissatisfaction with market outcomes, or with the fact that the product is educational and uses simulated money — both of which are stated plainly before purchase.
6. How to request a refund
Email info@finoha.net with:
- the email address on your account — or, if your account has no email attached, the account ID shown in the app under Settings;
- the approximate date and amount of the charge;
- the reason for the request.
What happens next: we acknowledge within 2 business days and decide within 10 business days. If we approve, the refund is issued to your original payment method. Your bank typically takes a further 5–10 business days to post it — that part is outside our control.
If we decline, we will tell you why, and you can reply and ask us to look again.
If you subscribed through an app store, the store is the merchant for that transaction and its refund policy applies. Request the refund through the store; we cannot issue it for you.
7. Before you file a chargeback, please talk to us
A chargeback filed without contacting us usually takes longer than simply asking for a refund, and it often results in the account being suspended automatically while the dispute runs.
If you believe a charge is wrong, email info@finoha.net first. If we agree, we will refund you directly and faster than the dispute process would. If we disagree, you retain every right to dispute the charge with your bank, and we will respond to that dispute with the transaction records.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts used to obtain the Service and then reverse payment for it.
8. Model withdrawal form (EU / UK)
You may, but do not have to, use this form. Send it to info@finoha.net.
